About the Opportunity
Belfast Wolves Special Olympics Club is a floorball club that is currently recruiting volunteers to fill a number of general roles on a Monday evening from 7pm to 8pm in Loughshore Leisure Centre, Belfast.

Floorball is a relevantly new sport to Special Olympics Ireland. It is played on a sports hall floor within a rink. See link for game in action https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MwJVTTsThoY

A general volunteer role will cover a number of tasks including:
* equipment set up and tear down;
* registration and welcoming athletes and volunteers;
* inducting new volunteers;
* supervision of athletes during activities;
* and serving refreshments.
Therefore, no previous experience is required for this role. All we ask is that you are enthusiastic, reliable and can work as part of a team.

In return, you can expect to find a warm and welcoming atmosphere in the club where you will also have the opportunity to build new friendships with other volunteers through various events and social outings. Overall, you will gain a great deal of personal satisfaction for working with a very special group of athletes.

Special Olympics Ulster is a sports organisation providing year round sports training and competition to athletes with an intellectual disability. In the Ulster Region, we have 64 community sports clubs, special schools, adult centres and services providing weekly training sessions to over 2000 athletes. All of our clubs are managed by teams of volunteers who give their valuable time to ensure our athletes can grow, develop and perform at regional, national and international events. Special Olympics Ulster is offering you the chance to make a real difference to the lives of our athletes by becoming one of the team.
