About the Opportunity
Degree done? Speak Spanish? We need you! October can be a scary time. But not having school or university to go back to can also be very exciting! Have you got language skills you’d like to use outside a classroom? Now’s your chance! Here’s how: Raleigh ICS is an international volunteering programme funded by the UK government. You’ll spend 10-12 weeks in Nicaragua, living and working with local people and becoming immersed in a Spanish-speaking culture. You’ll support young entrepreneurs to develop small businesses that help lift their communities out of poverty. Worried about getting a job? ICS is a tried and tested way to improve your employment prospects. 98% of volunteers told us that they would recommend it as a way to develop skills for employment. Anyone aged 18-25 can apply. No skills or qualifications needed. Your flights, travel, visas, vaccinations, food and accommodation are covered. You will also be asked to fundraise (usually a minimum of £800) to demonstrate commitment to the programme. Interested? Our next programme runs from 6th February – 29th April 2016. Find out more and apply on the ICS website: The deadline for applications is 23rd October.
